With permission from Vytelle customers, Vytelle will now facilitate the automatic flow of feed intake for Vytelle customers and clients testing at Vytelle bull test stations and on farm.
This is an exciting opportunity for the Angus breed to automate data collection, flow and increase recording of one of the most important traits to drive sustainable and profitable breeding.
The collection of quality, standardized, individual feed intake data has the most sizable impact on improving the accuracy of breeding evaluations to inform breeding decisions on the efficiency of the herd.
Producers who are investing in collecting this data can now ‘opt in’ for a complimentary service, provided by Vytelle, that will automate the sharing of their data to AGI with approvals if they wish to. This is another step forward in unlocking this hard to capture trait, insuring that accurate, timely data is provided to the AGI evaluation for the benefit of the breed and collaborators.
