New Feed Intake Load Bar Design

Tegniese Dienste - Tegniese Gids

Vytelle has updated the Feed Intake Load bar mount (previously referred to as rubber mounts). The new load bar mount is constructed from polyurethane, and is referred to as a polyurethane load bar mount.

Please note: the polyurethane load bar mounts will be bagged and placed into the load bar housing when shipped. The load bar mounts will no longer be installed on the load bars when shipped.

The load bar mount is made up of the following components (pictured below):

1. Bolt,

2. Metal washer,

3. Small bushing, and

4. Large bushing.

REPLACE POLYURETHANE LOAD BAR MOUNTS PROCEDURE

There are 2 types polyurethane load bar mounts:

• Red polyurethane load bar mounts – utilized for mounting aluminum load bars (closed load bar style), and

• Black polyurethane load bar mounts – utilized for mounting steel load bars (open load bar style).

Ensure that the correct coloured bushings are utilized for the correct type of load bar. If unsure contact Technical Support.

  1. Remove load bars from Feed Intake frame.
  2. Discard the bolt, washer and old-style rubber mount from all 4 corners of the load bars. Needle nose pliers may be required to unscrew the rubber mount. (Ensure to only discard old style rubber mounts).
  3. If required, use the 8mm (5/16”) drill bit provided to drill out the load bar mounting holes on the Feed Intake metal frame.
  • Please note: this step may not be necessary in all cases. This is only required if replacing an aluminum load bar with a steel load bar.
  • Please contact Technical Support if an 8mm drill bit is required.

4. The new polyurethane load bar mounts will come partially pre-assembled (Figure 2). The bolt will have a metal washer and the small bushing. Do not remove these parts from the bolt.

5. Insert the pre-assembled mounting hardware (Figure 2) into the Feed Intake metal frame drilled hole. Install the head of the bolt, metal washer and the small bushing on the bottom side of the metal frame (Figure 1).

6. Insert the large bushing onto the bolt on the top side of the metal frame.

  • It will be a snug fit

7. Place the load bar onto the bolt and hand tighten the bolt to secure the load bar.

8. Repeat until all 4 polyurethane load bar mounts are secured with the new mounting hardware.

9. Tighten the bolts with a wrench to secure the load bars. Ensure to not overtighten and deform the bushings.

  • If installing aluminum load bar (red bushings) use a 7/16” wrench to tighten the bolt to secure the load bar.
  • If installing steel load bars (black bushings) use a 13 mm (1/2”) wrench to tighten the bolt to secure the load bar.

10. Place trough back onto node.

11. Connect pigtail.

  • Optional: Use test wand to ensure node is functioning correctly.
