Action Item: Replace DAQ Panel – 8000 IPW

This document sets out the step-by-step instructions for replacing the DAQ Panel.

HOW TO REPLACE THE DAQ PANEL

1. Using a new DAQ panel.

a. For clients located outside of North America, you should have a spare DAQ panel located at site. For clients located inside North America contact Technical Support to request a new DAQ panel.

2. Record the address number listed inside of the door and the location you will be installing it in as you go (i.e., Panel #1 Address #: 4157D9E2; Panel #2 Address #: 4157D9A7; etc.).

3. Disconnect the power supply, the power cable for the spray system (if equipped), the GPS antenna, and the radio antenna on the top side of the DAQ panel that you are replacing (make sure to keep the GPS antenna and radio antenna for the new DAQ panel being installed).

4. Disconnect the data cables from the DAQ panel (ensure that the data cables are labelled so when they are connected to the new DAQ panel they are installed in the correct location).

5. Remove the two 5/16” (5mm) head self-tapping screws that are securing the bottom of the DAQ panel onto the panel post. 

6. Remove the DAQ panel from the panel post. 

7. Install the new DAQ panel cover on the panel post using the two supplied ¼” (6mm) x ¾” (20mm) hex head bolts, four ¼” (6mm) washers, and two ¼” (6mm) lock nuts. Nuts should be installed such that they are loose enough to allow the door to hinge into place.

8. Connect the GPS antenna and the radio antenna.

9. Connect the power supply to the DAQ panel and 

connect the power cable for the spray system to the DAQ Panel (if equipped).

10. You should see lights appear on the DAQ panel. This indicates that the DAQ Panel is running. 

11. Connect each data cable into the appropriate channel following the site layout. 

12. Close the DAQ panel door cover.

13. Test the read range and calibration of each IPW position connected to the newly replaced DAQ panel.

a. Place the test wand, with the black tip facing towards the bottom of the trough, onto the bottom of the trough and listen for 5 consistent audible beeps.

14. Contact Vytelle SENSE Technical Support so they can confirm that the newly replaced DAQ panel is communicating properly.
